Paul Griffin
Paul can not bring himself to abandon a book once he has started it. He tells his book club that this habit is due to his optimistic hope that every book will somehow become more engaging and well written the farther along it goes, but in truth he is afraid that giving up on a book would make both the book and it’s author terribly sad and he is not willing to risk it.
